Commissioned and custom work

Most brands license Media's existing artwork. A few need something painted for them alone: a campaign motif, a capsule collection, packaging or an interior that carries a flower nobody else has. This page is for those projects.

What a commission is

Original watercolor artwork created for one brand, to a brief, and owned or exclusively licensed by that brand. Every element is painted by hand in Procreate; nothing is generated. A commission can be a single hero artwork, a set of placement illustrations, or a family of seamless patterns built to work together across products.

Media is selective about custom work. She takes on a small number of commissions and considers each on a case by case basis, based on the brief, brand, scope, timeline, and her availability around her own collections.

The criteria are simple: is the project a good fit for her florals, will the work be seen at the scale that justifies weeks of painting, and does the brand want her hand rather than a generic floral. A commission is usually several weeks of collaboration and painting and is scheduled around her own collections.

Budgets begin in the low five figures and depend on the usage, scope, number of artworks, the rights granted and the timeline. A quote follows the brief.

If a commission is not the right route

Her existing artwork is available under exclusive license, scoped by product category and territory, from the exclusive collection, and her earlier archive under non-exclusive license.
